How to make chocolate dipped shortbread cookies?

Whenever you are in the mood to celebrate the festival, try making chocolate dipped shortbread cookies  immersed in chocolate (Chocolate for Dipped Cookies).  The joy of the occasion will increase even more.

Ingredients for Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies

▪Refined flour - 200 grams (loaded to level 2 cups)

 ▪Butter - 150 grams (3/4 cup)

 ▪Sugar - 100 grams (half cup)

 ▪Salt - 1/4 teaspoon

 ▪Chocolate - quarter cup

Method - How to make Chocolate dipped Shortbread Cookies ?

  • Melt the butter in a vessel, add sugar and mix well the butter sugar.

  • Add refined flour and salt to the butter sugar mixture and mix well by hand, cover the mixture and keep it for half an hour.

  • After half an hour, lift the mixture little by little, round it, flatten it with a little by hand and place it on a smooth tray or plate, make balls from all the mixture and leave a distance of half inch and place it on the tray. 

  • Now design by pressing on all these cookies with fork.

  • Place a tray of cookies in the oven and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.  Set the temperature and bake the cookies for 10 minutes.  

  • After 10 minutes, check the cookies and then set the oven at the same temperature for 5 minutes and bake the cookies. 

  • During this time the cookies are baked well, if you do not see the cookies being baked well then you can bake cookies again for 5 minutes.

  • Remove the cookies from the oven and keep them to cool down and keep the remaining cookies in the oven to bake.  Cool after all cookies are baked

  •  Fill half water in a big vessel and keep it warm.  Take a vessel for the chocolate which can be kept inside this water filled vessel, put the chocolate in this vessel and keep the vessel in hot water, in a short time, the chocolate starts to melt in 10-15 minutes, till the whole chocolate melts, heat it.  Turn off the fire when whole chocolate melt.

  • Place the melted chocolate vessel near the cookies, pick one of the cookies by hand and dip it in the chocolate until it is half submerged.  

  • Place the cookies dipped in the chocolate in another plate, dip all the cookies one by one in the same way and place them on another plate.

  •  The chocolate dipped shortbread cookies is ready to be eaten.  Put the chocolate cookies in the air tight container and when you feel like, take the chocolate dip cookies out from the container and eat it.


▪If you are using salted butter then do not add salt to the flour for cookies
